We build our own grapple trucks for our waste company. We are looking for a Mechanic Assistant to join our team who is goal-oriented, energetic, loyal, hardworking, self-directed, and motivated with a commitment to maintaining our high-quality standards! This position will report to the Shop Foreman and will be assisting with assembling grapple trucks as well as assisting with preventative maintenance and repairs on trucks. We are looking for candidates with mechanical skills who have knowledge on assembling mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems to create the final product of a fully functioning grapple truck to our quality standards. You’ll be tasked with inspecting trucks’ mechanical components, systems, and parts to determine their necessary fixes. You’ll also maintain repair shop equipment. Responsibilities: • Assembly of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems • Ability to use MIG Welding to assemble parts • Diesel Mechanic experience is important • Maintain a safe and clean working environment • Must wear proper PPE to maintain safety measures • Ensure accurate record-keeping for vehicle repairs, maintenance, and service history Qualifications: • Legally eligible to work in the United States • Heavy truck repair experience • Must be at least 18 years of age • Must have good communication skills and a great attitude • Ability to operate heavy equipment (forklift)
