EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience in lieu of a degree

CERTIFICATION: IAM Level II or higher (CAP, CISM, CASP or CISSP); or an IAT Level II will be consider but must be willing and able to obtain IAM Level II

EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of relative industry experience

OVERVIEW: S4 Inc. is looking for a Cybersecurity/Information Assurance (IA) Specialist to support the USSTRATCOM ITCC contract as a recognized authority on relevant IT security subject matter knowledge including security technologies, theories, and techniques.

JOB DUTIES:

• Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
• Routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving cybersecurity objectives.
• Provide IA, computer network defense (CND), and technical review support to the government and contract operations to include:
• Reviewing requirements for security related capabilities,
• Working CND and IA background and skills, analysis, correlation, and prioritization of vulnerabilities discovered in scans and vendor bulletins,
• Monitoring of intrusion detection systems, and other CND tools,
• Providing vulnerability tracking and status reporting on vendor provided or DoD mandated patches

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active current TS+ security clearance
• IAM Level II
• Working knowledge of installation, maintenance, and upgrading of Operation Systems and applications for the server and client environment
• Be able to assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to IA and network security
• Experience monitoring vendor and DoD IA notices and reports and developing targeted metrics to assess performance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
• 8+ years of relative industry experience
• Experience working with federal regulations related to information security (FISMA, Computer Security Act, etc.)
• Experience working with NIST Special Publications or related publications and the C & A process

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
• Current ITIL v3 Foundation certification
