    We are looking for an Area Fundraising Officer to achieve set fundraising targets and KPIs and to create the best possible experience for our charity supporters, volunteers and partners.

With a focus on holistic community development, Heifer International works in partnership with local organizations and governments to address the root causes of hunger and poverty around the world.

    You’ll work with local businesses, places of education, faith groups and individuals who are undertaking their own fundraising activities for Heifer. You’ll support with their events when needed and build your relationships to maximize income generation and secure repeat support. You’ll share case studies, telling great stories to supporters to ensure that they understand the difference that their donations make. You’ll create new relationships by preparing and delivering pitches, talks and presentations.

    About You

    You will have demonstrable experience of meeting targets and KPIs, with proven success at sales.

    You’ll have a track record of managing and developing relationships with individual donors or customers and be committed to building good internal and external relationships.

    You’ll be self-motivated to achieve objectives and probably have a background in sales or fundraising.

    You’ll often be taking steps to achieve new fundraising support, so you’ll have experience of identifying, pitching and securing new support and strong presentation skills.

    You’ll have basic knowledge of fundraising as a professional discipline.

    There will be a lot going on at once, so we’ll be looking for someone with excellent administrative, organizational and planning skills.

    You’ll be able to prioritize your workload and be able to work independently.

    You’ll work with a few IT systems to manage administration and reporting so you’ll be highly IT literate.

    There will be travel to several sites, so you’ll need access to a vehicle for work purposes, with a valid driving license and the ability to travel across your allocated region.

    You’ll have a passion for charity work and a strong commitment to the organizational performance and the care that we provide.
