    Job Description

    We are currently looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Inside Sales Team. The BDR is responsible for contacting marketing qualified leads and outbound lead generation. Prospects from various marketing activities and outbound email campaigns will be researched and qualified before transfer to the sales pipeline. The BDR will target specified industries and contact leads via cold calling, email, and LinkedIn in an effort to educate, sell and schedule appointments or demos.

    The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, friendly, energetic, outgoing, and not afraid of rejection. Must be able to follow and learn our script and technology offerings portfolio, as well as engage prospects with the intention of selling our products and services. The BDR will be comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office, Outlook/email, and other customer/lead management solutions.

    DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    -Deliver prepared sales calls, reading from scripts that describe our products or services, in order to instill interest in our products and services and qualify leads.

    -Contact leads/prospects by phone, email and LinkedIn to schedule appointments and demos.

    -General understanding of products and services in order to explain and answer questions from potential customers.

    -Obtain customer information such as company name, industry, size, location, key decision-makers, job title/position and contact information.

    -Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals, companies or industries.

    -Research marketing qualified leads & prospects to identify key decision-makers and contact information from sources such as Google, LinkedIn, SalesIntel, and other purchased, organized or provided lists.

    -Field telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through advertisements and other marketing campaigns.

    -Call or email in response to new sales prospect inquiries or to follow up on initial sales contacts and customer referrals

    -Maintain detailed records of activities, contacts, accounts, communications/conversations, as well as notes for discussion and review.

    -Must have experience using Outreach Sales Platform, uploading prospects, and creating email sequences.

    -Reading Comprehension — High-level understanding of written material in work-related documents and lead generation research activities.

    -Contact Center Software — Sangoma; Multi-channel contact center software; YeaLink Phones

    -Marketing Tools – HubSpot, Outreach, SalesIntel

    -Network conferencing software — Microsoft Teams; Zoom

    -Email — Microsoft Exchange and Outlook; Outreach; Mail Chimp.

    -Self-Motivated – Work with minimal supervision while maintaining consistent workflow, output, and ability to meet strict deadlines.

    -Agile and Flexible – Capable of transitioning between tasks and focusing on multiple workflows in parallel.

    -Education – Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s Degree in business preferred.

    -Experience – 3 to 5 years working in a B2B environment, with a background in technology and experience selling business solutions, products or services.
