    As a Systems Engineer, you’ll be leading the charge as one of our technical operations captains, scripting deployments, maintaining the environment, unlocking the full potential of our resources, and valiantly leading our hosted services. Your extensive analytical skills, technical experience, and mastery of the data center will help Saca Technologies take things to the next level.

     

    You Are

    • An IT veteran: You’ve deployed Microsoft and Linux based systems since the dark days of dial-up. You have over 5 years’ experience deploying, managing, and supporting Linux, RDS, Exchange, and load balancing technologies.
    • A MSP dignitary: Your encyclopedic knowledge of current IT practices, standard operating procedures, and client communications is an industry legend.
    • An Operational sage: Your operational insight could fill up our hosted cloud storage. Not letting your wise words go to waste, you can create diagrams, KB articles, and step by step procedures to map the path for others.
    • Comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity: When changes are made, you keep a cool head, even if you don’t have all the details. You’re comfortable moving between projects and facing the uncertain because risk and change motivates you to evolve and innovate.
    • A consummate communicator: You mesh easily with pros from all disciplines, and your impeccable communication skills allow you to unpack difficult concepts with ease, whether it's in person, on the phone, or in technical documentation.
    • A scholar: You have the education and experience to back it up. At minimum a bachelor degree in IT or relevant discipline. Certifications: MCSE and CCNA are current.

     

    You Will

    • Lead the troubleshooting efforts, research and resolve system issues, client escalations, preventative maintenance, performance planning, outages, etc. for our Microsoft and Linux systems.
    • Develop standard procedures as well as cross-training and development of teammates.
    • Ensure the on-time delivery of projects and duties as measured by your team's KPI's.
    • Ensure exceptional customer service and communications are delivered to our internal and external clients.
    • Keep up on the latest trends and technologies relevant to this functional team, providing recommendations and POC as needed for the management team.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Working alone or in tandem with other Engineers to implement and support the most optimal solutions for the company
    • Provide 24/7 remote support and resolution for complex technical issues
    • Install, configure, administer, and monitor on-premise and cloud platforms
    • Implement pro-active monitoring for better availability and performance
    • Perform regular security reviews, document systems, processes, and procedures
    • Strong intellectual and service operations depth, coupled with effective executive presence and a communication style that conveys expertise and instills confidence
    • Identify and act quickly on opportunities to enhance customer experience
    • Strong customer-centric mindset and ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative and effective relationships internally and externally
    • Assuring effective communication to customer stakeholders in the event of a service disruption, degradation or outage to make sure that they receive the latest updates as our operations teams work to restore full service
    • Continuously improve your skills, product expertise, and knowledge on related technical topics
    • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
    • Ensure that our applications are designed and implemented to the highest security standards thus maintaining and enhancing customer trust
    • Any additional responsibility as assigned by Senior Management

     

    Requirements:

    • Education:
      • Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in a technically oriented field of study
    • Certifications:
      • Minimum (3): MCSE, MCSA, CCENT/CCT, RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, PMP, Linux+, ITIL Foundations, L.S. Green Belt, etc.
    • Minimum Experience: 7 years in IT:
      • providing remote or onsite computer support, including technical training
      • Supporting/Deploying: Virtualized systems like VDI/Terminal Services and Linux
      • Expert level Application support: Veeam, Office 365, GPOs, MDM, cPanel, etc.
      • Troubleshooting connectivity issues
    • Minimum Experience: 3 years in IT:
      • Design/Implementing Networks & VoIP: Cisco and SonicWall firewalls and Sophos security appliance
      • Design/Implementing Server OS, Server Roles, & PC/Server application support
      • Implementing Exchange, Terminal Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
      • Design/Implementing VMWare & Hyper-V
    • Must be able to support Microsoft Server and Linux systems at a high level (50/50 or 60/40)
    • Strong diverse technical background showing expert level knowledge in multiple technologies
    • Able to communicate professional and clearly, both verbally and in writing
    • Must be patient and able to deal with difficult customer situations. Exceptional customer service orientation
    • Highly motivated & able to work independently in a collaborative environment
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Strong to Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
    • Clean DMV record and appropriate driver’s license to operate company vehicles if required
