Reads work orders and blueprints to determine operation, parts and tools needed.
Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
Where applicable must follow OPC manual for the job.
Records production and inventory in computer.
Responsible for complying with all company policies, procedures, values, ethics, and rules.

QUALIFICATIONS
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient at MIG welding of ¼ - ½ plate and cast welding.
Ability to pass blueprint reading test (with Weld Symbols) whichincorporates mathematics.
Must pass practical Weld Test.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Use commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40lbs.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
