    Job Description

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    SAMI-Aid is in search of a professional Business Development Director to join and build the SAMI-Aid B2B Sales Team from the ground up. This position will be responsible for managing SAMI-Aid sales opportunities from lead generation through proposal and contract execution. The Business Development Director will play a major role in SAMI-Aid’s business development efforts, establishing initial value presentations and competitive differentiation with decision-makers at prospective business clients, while providing support throughout the duration of the sales cycle.

    Compensation will be approximately 50 percent base salary and 50 percent commission, but there is no cap on the commission-based portion of the pay.

    The Business Development Director will be focused on inbound and outbound marketing strategies designed to identify opportunities for potential B2B partnerships, such as with employer groups seeking to offer health benefits to their employees as a supplement to traditional health insurance. The SAMI-Aid Business Development Director will aggressively search for, identify, and recruit prospective B2B clients for SAMI-Aid who might be interested in purchasing SAMI-Aid’s product as a benefit for their employees or group members. An overarching goal of the Business Development Director will be to help significantly increase SAMI-Aid’s market share in the exploding telemedicine market by securing contracts with B2B clients to improve SAMI-Aid’s visibility and profitability.

    The Business Development Director will be expected to have intimate knowledge of SAMI-Aid’s value proposition, as well as experience with demonstrating value and differentiators, dealing with employee and member benefits, and taking new products to market. Extensive experience in sales pipeline management is required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A strong background in the sales of healthcare plans is preferred. This position will require a proven track record of growing revenue, working collaboratively with internal business partners, and successfully driving results on a quarterly basis to drive optimal sales performance.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILL SET:

    • Excellent interpersonal, public presentation, written and communication skills

    • Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline management using CRMs such as SalesForce

    • Documented track record of exceeding annual sales quotas in the $100,000s and above

    • Documented track record of selling large, enterprise-wide, complex technology deals

    • Ability to develop and manage multi-million-dollar sales opportunities

    • 4+ years’ proven experience managing prospecting and sales outreach, preferably B2B

    • Outstanding active listening skills

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and perform well under pressure

    • Ability to work independently and take a consistently hands-on, high-energy approach

    • Ability to interpret data to personalize outreach to different prospect types

    • Ability to work in a remote environment with a high level of discipline

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILL SET:

    • Experience selling to healthcare decision makers, such as HR and benefits managers

    • Experience building relationships with healthcare institutions, facilities, or insurance providers

    • Specific understanding of payer/care management companies, hospitals, providers/physicians

    • Specific experience with telemedicine and digital health products

    • Familiarity with HIPAA Privacy Rules

    • Spanish-speaking

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Healthcare, Public Policy, or Computer Science preferred (or 5+ years’ proven B2B marketing or sales experience)
