JOB Overview

GBSI is seeking an experienced SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Functional Consultant with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA EWM to lead the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of warehouse management solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP EWM implementation, inbound and outbound warehouse processes, warehouse structure configuration, storage types and bins, warehouse task and order management, wave management, replenishment, physical inventory, handling unit management, RF framework, labor management, and integration with SAP MM, SD, PP, and Transportation Management (TM).

The candidate should possess strong functional knowledge of end-to-end warehouse operations and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional SAP teams to deliver efficient, scalable warehouse solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP S/4HANA EWM solutions aligned with business and warehouse operational requirements.
• Configure and optimize inbound warehouse processes, including goods receipt, inbound deliveries, putaway strategies, and quality inspection integration.
• Manage outbound warehouse processes, including outbound deliveries, picking, packing, staging, and goods issue.
• Configure warehouse structures, including warehouse numbers, storage types, storage sections, storage bins, activity areas, and work centers.
• Implement and optimize warehouse task and warehouse order management to improve warehouse productivity and operational efficiency.
• Configure and support wave management, replenishment, slotting, and rearrangement processes.
• Manage Handling Unit (HU) Management, packing specifications, packaging processes, and warehouse execution activities.
• Configure and support Physical Inventory processes, including cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
• Implement and support RF Framework and mobile warehouse transactions to enable efficient execution of warehouse operations.
• Support warehouse process types, storage control, and process-oriented and layout-oriented storage control.
• Configure and optimize cross-docking, internal warehouse movements, stock transfers, and inventory management processes.
• Integrate SAP EWM with SAP MM, SD, PP, Quality Management (QM), and Transportation Management (TM) to ensure seamless end-to-end business processes.
• Support integration between SAP EWM and SAP ERP/S/4HANA, including delivery processing, master data synchronization, and goods movement integration.
• Conduct requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
• Prepare functional specifications for technical developments, enhancements, interfaces, forms, and reports.
• Lead or support unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning, and go-live activities.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot functional issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain warehouse operations.
• Collaborate with business users, warehouse operations teams, technical teams, and cross-functional SAP consultants to deliver successful implementations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 12+ years of overall SAP experience, with strong hands-on expertise in SAP EWM.
• Extensive experience in SAP S/4HANA EWM implementation, configuration, and support.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end warehouse management and logistics processes.
• Hands-on experience with inbound and outbound delivery processing.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse structure configuration, including storage types, storage sections, bins, activity areas, and work centers.
• Experience with warehouse task and warehouse order management.
• Hands-on experience with picking, putaway, packing, staging, and goods issue processes.
• Strong knowledge of wave management, replenishment, and warehouse execution strategies.
• Experience with Handling Unit Management and physical inventory processes.
• Knowledge of RF Framework and mobile warehouse execution.
• Experience with internal warehouse movements, stock transfers, and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of integration between SAP EWM and SAP MM, SD, PP, QM, and TM.
• Experience with SAP EWM master data, including products, packaging specifications, warehouse bins, and warehouse process configurations.
• Knowledge of functional testing, defect management, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP and technical integration teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and business process mapping skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
