About the team

As the SuccessFactors Data Insight team, we provide the data and insight to help product teams build and deliver great products consumed by millions of users each day.

Our team influences the complete path from data instrumentation to Insight: drives the instrumentation of applications, sets up data pipelines and data engineering to extract and enrich data, creates tools to share data, delivers insight to product teams and measures the impact of their products.​

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP IES HXM Data Insights – Data Scientist / Data Analyst

Location: Palo Alto, CA – please note that roles will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopenings

Expected start date: June 2022

Contract Duration: Up to 12 months

In this role, you’ll:

You will learn how SuccessFactors, one of the largest SAP cloud products, works and what millions of users do each day with it. You will use data science techniques to bring new insights about  the features customers are using and how they are using it. You will learn how the data is created, meaning of that data and pull out the insight that can help drive customer success and help product teams improve the product. You will also learn how to present that Insights to the teams that can drive the needed change. With this internship, you will apply data science techniques to a real business problems.

Some examples of analysis that you might contribute to:  

• USER EXPERIENCE/BEHAVIOR: Using clickstream data from the application understand the cohorts of users and the key friction points in their journey
• RENEWAL/CHURN ANALYSIS: Detect the signals from customer usage patterns about the potential of customer leaving SuccessFactors platform.

WHO YOU ARE:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

Your skills

• Desire to learn and explore new things
• Knowledge of Data Science concepts, and techniques including AI/ML algorithms
• Programming skills with data scripting languages, with a preference for Python.
• Experience with Data Visualization tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau etc
• Experience working with Big Data environments, a plus.
• Passion for solving business problems using data Presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
