ABOUT THE TEAM

SAP’s Platform DevOps Tool’s team builds and operates the environments for SAP Cloud customers of respective product lines and ensure the delivery according to defined Service Level Agreements. The team also ensures smooth operations and maximizes uptime and performance of Cloud software. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

POSITION TITLE: SAP iXp Intern – DevOps 

LOCATION: Palo Alto, CA (or West Coast remote) 

EXPECTED START DATE AND END DATE: March – August 2022 (40 hours/week)

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Cloud Operations colleagues to build CI/CD tools and applications.

• Design and Develop tools and applications to improve the efficiency of our Development and Cloud Operations colleagues.

• Participate in all the required scrum meetings.

WHO YOU ARE:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• BS or MS in Computer Science with relevant work experience is required 

• Experience with container ecosystem such as Docker, HashiCorp Nomad or Kubernetes is required

• Experience in developing DEVOPS applications and tools using one or more of the following programming languages – Java, Groovy, Python, or Go is required

• Experience using Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or equivalent tools is required. GCP experience is preferred

• Experience in maintaining and implementing pipelines using Jenkins is required 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required 

• Applicants must be available to work 40 hours a week during the months of March - August
