    OVERVIEW

    A high performing Mobility & Immigration program is a key element in the expansion and global growth at SAPRO. We need someone passionate about all things Immigration to craft and execute the programs strategic vision and drive operational excellence of the global team.

    As the Global Head of Mobility & Immigration, you will be responsible for managing the movement of thousands of our team members as they travel abroad from one assignment to the next. This position is a fantastic opportunity to lead the vision and direction of a rapidly growing strategic program in a booming, constantly evolving environment.

    You should have extensive experience in both strategic and hands-on global immigration experience, as well as a mix of entrepreneurial and large, high-growth company experience.

    This role requires an experienced professional who can remain calm under pressure, and not lose sight of SAPRO's mission of building better futures for as many people as possible. You will also need to have fantastic relationship building expertise as you develop and build connections with our team members to support their career aspirations to have incredible adventures and travel experiences while they work internationally. Problem solving and agility is key for this role as you manage and overcome immigration and visa challenges with embassies in the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the islands etc.

The Global Head of Mobility & Immigration will be a key member of our Global Mobility team. This is a leadership role on a highly collaborative, dynamic, and growing team looking to deliver efficient and high-quality service.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Define the vision and global immigration strategy for the company
    • Own all facets of effectively managing our global immigration program
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior leaders across Finance, Legal, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Payroll, EHS, CRM, Sales etc.
    • Own all facets of effectively managing the business relationship with SAPRO's immigration vendors. Responsible for defining vendor strategy, vendor relationship, vendor governance, and service delivery globally.  Manage and coordinate market and global relationships with third party supplier partners (tax, relocation, immigration). Lead RFP's, business cases where needed.
    • Strategize risk mitigation and control of new legislation globally
    • Provide timely, in-depth, and comprehensive forecasts, projections, and data to the executive team.
    • Analytically drive the metrics used to evaluate the immigration team's performance, including speed, efficiency, quality, and thoroughness to meet objectives.  Develop cost tracking measures to improve visibility into Global Mobility program costs and build strategies to reduce the costs
    • Demonstrate a management style that encourages participation and ownership, along with a continuous focus on action, customer happiness, and personnel satisfaction.
    • Lead a geographically distributed team of immigration program managers. Mentor, counsel, and develop team members to position them for success.
    • Determine operational strategies, conduct needs assessments, performance reviews, capacity planning, and cost/benefit analyses; identify and evaluate state-of-the-art technologies.
    • Ensure that employees and internal stakeholders consistently receive high-quality, emotionally intelligent support, and build systems to deliver it efficiency.  Put customer experience in forefront and deploy a Global Mobility service delivery model. Provide best in class manager and employee experience
    • Consult managers, HR partners and lead the global community of GM resources. Educate stakeholders on mobility program and market best practices
    • Ensure compliance as our employees move across various countries
    • Conduct firmwide business reviews regarding activity using data as a driver
    • Lead day-to-day delivery of GM services to the organization for long term and short-term assignments including but not limited to processing and securing visas, making travel arrangements, establishing insurance, and providing education and training to employees on process.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 10+ years of immigration / global mobility experience
    • Tax equalization, shadow payroll knowledge would be an added advantage.
    • GMS or CRP Certifications desired, but not required

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • Experience building and managing a high-performance team
    • Global Immigration experience
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities and to meet deadlines in stressful situations
    • Strong operational and analytical proficiency
    • You are innovative, creative, and constantly looking for ways to tweak and optimize a process
    • Experience working with multiple partners across a truly global organization
    • Experience scoping/strategizing/implementing successful global projects
    • Ability to build relationships across the organization and ability to provide exceptional levels of customer service.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to discuss detailed, complex concepts with executive leaders
    • Strong supplier management skills
    • Ability to provide white-glove service to executives, leaders, and teams on assignment
    • Ability to work at both strategic and operational levels. Experience working in HR systems/reporting
    • Ability to translate the technical nature of mobility work (immigration, international taxation) for clear stakeholder understanding.

    Should you be successful in your application, you are expected to have access to the internet / connection required to perform the function, and to ensure that the internet connection is uninterrupted and always accessible. This should be, at minimum, a fiber connection with a proven bandwidth of 20mbps upload and 10Mbps download speed, with a latency of no more than 30ms. This connection should be sustainable in the event of power interruptions. The Company will contribute to the Employee for these expenses, which will be paid monthly with the Employee's salary. The contract validity is dependent on the above mentioned criteria.
