Position Title: School-Based Mental Health Therapist

Position Overview: Mental Health Therapist shall have sufficient qualifications, knowledge, and experience to execute the duties of the position; shall be knowledgeable about the regulations applicable to the program. Therapist should have experience in treatment strategies related to behavior management and crisis intervention. Therapist should also be able to work appropriately with multidisciplinary teams. Service delivery will consist of providing ongoing clinical assessment, diagnosis, individual, family, and group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services for youth and adolescents with mild to severe mental illness. Treatment services will be provided on-site at a school.

Requirement:

A Master's degree in Social work or Counseling. Licensed and certified to provide therapy in the State of Maryland (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Expected Duties:

Meet with all clients assigned to their caseload regularly and consistently.

Provide individual and group therapy using various psychotherapy modalities.

Formulate comprehensive person-centered treatment plans that are individualized to the person/family’s specific treatment needs and are based on clinical experience and knowledge.

Utilize excellent organizational and time management skills to submit documents within the allotted time frames. Provide clear clinical documentation in our electronic medical record.

Attend all Sarah’s House staff meetings

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Collaboration with outside agencies to arrange for community services beneficial to clients and to provide ongoing collaboration between the treatment team and case workers.

Make referrals to appropriate health and human services agencies as needed based on the outcome of the assessment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
