SATO America -Charlotte, NC Facility is seeking highly motivated, career focused, Packer.

Summary: Manually packages materials and products, accomplishes product finishing and assists press operator by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend work order instructions
• Retrieve empty cartons from designated areas at floor level. Assemble cartons; obtain and sort product if needed
• Assist in removing waste from presses with wheeled dumpsters and dispose in compactor and stage recycling containers with hand jack
• Insert product into boxes according to quantity specification
• Ability to set up all labeling tools properly
• Label containers, container tags, or products using labeling tool
• Monitor label quality during production and/or packaging
• Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process
• Helps press operators with clean up and make ready
• Sweep floor and perform other duties to maintain a clean work area around presses
• Perform work safely and participate in all safety programs instituted by the company
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates must have:

• In-depth knowledge of packing procedures
• Good knowledge of basic arithmetic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment for long hours
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift Packer: 4 days, 10-hour shift. 3:30pm-1:30am (Monday-Thursday, OT on Friday) + $0.50 shift differential

You are fully vested on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. SATO will match 100%/dollar-for-dollar of your 401(k)-deferral amount of the first 3% of your pay and an additional match of 50%/$.50 on the next 2% of your pay. For example, if you defer 5% of your pay into the 401(k) Plan, SATO will make a 4% matching contribution.
