    SIGN-ON BONUS $3,000

    SATO America - Charlotte, NC is seeking a highly motivated, career-focused, printing Press Operator. As a flexographic operator, you will be responsible for performing complex Die-cut jobs, including "make-ready" for each job, working from copy card specifications, cylinders, anilox and die station on narrow web Mark Andy P5 series press. Additionally, you will be responsible to perform routine machine maintenance, maintaining quality standards, facilitating quick turn times, and achieving production goals.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    · Examine job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, and stock specifications.

    · Read and understand customer order

    · Track all setup, downtime, and run time on shop floor

    · Run the order as quickly and efficiently as quality allow

    · Responsible for the cleanliness of the press and the area around the press

    · Report any and all mechanical issue he encounters during the shift

    · Help train and teach in any or all of his responsibilities

    · Produce a consistently high quality product within acceptable standard waste and time rates

    · Install cylinder and dies, and ensure proper anilox, tensions, die cut, and stripping on each job

    · Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for each job

    · Maintain quality, productivity, and waste according to set standards.

    · Perform routine press maintenance

    · Reposition plates, adjust rolls, or otherwise

    · Inspect and examine printed products for accuracy

    • Understand schedules and how to complete necessary paperwork

    · Pack and label boxes of finished products.

    · Work overtime as needed

    · Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • 1 year of flexographic printing press experience preferred
    • Strong emphasis on quality
    • Good mechanical ability
    • Superior trouble shooting skills
    • Quick learning aptitude
    • Strong math skills (measurements, percentages, figure footage, etc.)
    • Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
