Job Description

SBLM Long Island Office looks for a highly motivated Project Architect who is a team player with strong design and detailing capabilities.

Ideal candidate will be a well-organized, detail-oriented individual who is accustomed to working on Retail Projects. Retail and Healthcare project experience is a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare information regarding design, specifications, knowledge of construction timeline and cost a plus
• Oversee and direct activities of team engaged in preparing details, drawings, and specification documents in conjuncture with the project manager and head designer
• Adhere to all industry standards in design
• Develop ideas keeping in mind client’s needs building’s usage and environmental impact
• Ensure all work is carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations

REQUIREMENTS

·         Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.

·         Five+ years minimum experience

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field

·         Extensive experience with AutoCAD required, Revit highly desirable

·         Advanced communication skills

·         Ability to develop initial ideas with client

·         Self-confident with strong visual awareness and a keen eye for detail
