    Job Description

    SBM LIFE SCIENCE has an exciting new opportunity in our sales organization for a SALES BUSINESS ANALYST.

     This role is responsible for studying historical sales trends, evaluating upcoming advertising plans, and incorporating factors such as new stores and seasonal factors to determine the best forecast for their assigned items. Additionally, they are responsible for developing and regularly publishing reports summarizing retailer sales (POS), customer shipments, forecast accuracy, inventory position, and executive dashboards used to evaluate the achievement of annual business and sales performance objectives.  

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Ability to work internally with Supply Chain and effectively communicate forecast changes
    • Forecasting on a quarterly/annually
    • Understand the customer and have a deep knowledge of their business:
      • Anticipate their needs/changes and communicate those internally
      • Analyze trends
      • Review of POS and the impact on forecasting
    • Customer data maintenance (Where does this responsibility – this is a follow up when we meet as the entire team with Nate)
    • Daily/Weekly/Monthly Field Sales Level POS Reporting
    • Ability to work with Key Account Teams with regards to Sales Trends + variances YOY

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Statistics Marketing, or related field from an accredited university
    • A minimum of 3 years Sales Analytics Experience
    • Consumer products industry experience 
    • Experience working with key accounts, sales support, insides sales, customer service
    • Advanced excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, index match, data modeling, dashboard creation etc.)
    • Presentation skills – ability to present the why behind the data
    • Ability to analyze data and recognize trends/interpret the data
    • Exceptional analytical skills
    • Communication skills (knowledge of when to be proactive)
    • Interpersonal skills to maximize working well with others

    PREFERRED

    • MS in Data Science or MBA from an Accredited University
    • Lowes and Home Depot knowledge
    • Seasonal CPG Sales Understanding
    • Access database experience
    • Microsoft BI
    • Tableau
    • Sage V6 or V12 Experience

     

    TRAVEL

    • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and possible overnights may be expected.
