    SUMMARY:                                                                                                               

    This role is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites from individual tools with a small form factor for use on devices to modifying or creating full layout websites for customer facing and internal use. This will include designing/developing in a robust E-commerce platform as well as developing new web-based applications interfacing with a connected ERP system (via XML SOAP/REST/EDI) calls to meet business needs.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Working closely with our internal ERP developers, you will be working as a team to accomplish smooth integration of each new application.
    • Maintain existing JavaScript/Ubuntu E-commerce platform and administer changes to user interface and/or back-end data architecture database as needed.
    • Design and develop new functionality enhancements to E-Commerce and internal applications platform.
    • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve systems defects and/or issues.
    • Perform quality assurance tests and ascertain the cause of the problem when performance is not meeting standards.
    • Follows defined processes, methodologies and procedures, and completes all necessary documentation.

    SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

    • A strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
    • Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
    • Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's.
    • Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc ..)
    • Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications.
    • Expertise knowledge and practical experience in HTML5/AjaxCSS3/SOAP/XML and web technologies.
    • Expertise in server-side programming with PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax and Web Services.
    • Commercial full stack web development experience within Unix / PHP / MySQL environment.
    • Proven experience in database design and performance optimization with MySQL.
    • Experience working in an Ubuntu-Linux Operating System.
    • Strong responsive web design experience, including hosting and routing on public domain.
    • Strong proven experience with HTML and JavaScript web development.
    • Willingness to be flexible and agile when developing new functions.
    • Ability to learn new technical skills and needed and explore new approaches.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Be willing to advance innovative ways of addressing business challenges and resolving problems.
    • Should enjoy working in a small team setting with entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Keen attention to detail.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • This position does not have any Supervisory Responsibilities but is the SME in regards to all aspects of web development.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
    • 5 year's practical experience in web application development.
