Location: Laredo, TX.
Position: Temporary Full-Time Counselor Position Available (Position will end on September 29, 2026)
Founded in 1982 in Laredo, Texas, SCAN is a leading provider of social services in South Texas. SCAN's Frontera Program helps prevent the spread of HIV by providing easily accessible HIV and Hepatitis prevention services within a behavioral health care setting. The Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor will serve as a member of SCAN's Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Team. This multidisciplinary team is composed of mental health professionals and medical staff that provide comprehensive, accessible, client center behavioral health care for SCAN's clients/ patients.
Duties: Provide a full range of psychological therapeutic interventions. This includes screening, assessment, individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy and advanced level case management interventions used in the treatment of clients with a range of DSM diagnoses, and or substance abuse/dependence.
Supervision: If applicant is currently an LPC-A the agency provides weekly supervision at no cost.

Salary range: $44,000 to $52,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
