Healthy Border Initiative Program Are you a person in recovery from drugs and/or alcohol who has been sober for at least one year and who is involved in the local 12-step community? If the answer is yes, you may qualify to be a Recovery Coach. Position: 1 full-time Recovery Coach Position Duties: As a peer recovery coach you will guide male and female adults to embrace and strengthen their recovery. These adults have a substance use disorder or co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions. You will conduct outreach services and transport clients to and from appointments and other community sites. Provide clerical and support services to counselors. Minimum Qualifications:  Must be a person who is in recovery from alcohol and/or other drug and active in the recovery community (AA, NA or CA).  A minimum of one year in recovery is preferred.  A desire to provide adults in need of recovery with the social support on an individual or group basis  Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is required.  High school diploma or GED is preferred.  Good computer skills.  Reliable transportation, proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license required.  Able to work flexible hours and weekends. Salary of $9.50 to $12.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications plus benefits • Deadline- Until Position is filled
