School District 308 is seeking qualified candidates to become school bus drivers for the district.  Work hours will be varied.   COMPENSATION: 

• $18.54/hour (for new hires without CDL/Permit)
• $19.06/hour (for new hires with less than 2 years of previous experience who have a CDL/Permit)
• $19.57/hour (for new hires with 2 or more years of documented experience who have a CDL/Permit)

*Please note that the hourly rate of pay is inclusive of the mandatory 4.5% retirement contribution to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). • 21 years of age (or older) with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills necessary to operate a school bus safely, communicate effectively, follow determined schedules.
• In a timely manner, handle emergency situations, evaluations and administer first aid.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug, alcohol, background and TB testing.
• Exceptional driving record.  Knowledge of or ability to learn safety.
