    Job Description

    GENERAL SUMMARY OF THIS POSITION:

    We are looking for a Full-Time Bookkeeper between two of our offices who works closely with the Executives and is responsible for a variety of tasks including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, preparing detailed reports in Excel, journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and various other daily, monthly, and year-end activities.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

    • Process all invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient and timely manner; obtain invoice approvals from the appropriate department manager as needed. Print, scan, mail checks and file paid invoices.
    • Organize and code the Credit Card accounts monthly. ·
    • Enter weekly remote check deposits to the bank account. ·
    • Prepare journal entries for accrued expenses and various asset/liability accounts (with supporting documentation) and post into the Sage accounting system.
    • Record all bank transactions monthly. Reconcile bank account monthly and resolve any discrepancies. Track cash balance on a daily/weekly basis.
    • Prepare selected balance sheet account reconciliations.
    • Prepare 1099’s for appropriate vendors on an annual basis.
    • Assist with the annual external audit.
    • Adhere to Company standards and maintain compliance with all policies and procedures.
    • Cross train on front desk duties to assist other staff with general job functions as needed.
    • Other duties as required.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Must have strong attention to detail and be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, be well organized, and communicative effectively.
    • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
    • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible in learning other team member tasks and duties as needed.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • 5+ years of experience working in an accounting related role.
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required; High School Diploma required.
