    Job Summary

    We are seeking multiple levels of staff who are knowledgeable, self-motivated, and experienced with Network/Security support and consulting to join our team to ensure Customer Networks, Servers and end user computer systems operate at peak performance. You will handle IT consultations, support requests, and assist clients with their technology needs. The ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, excellent customer service, time management, and communication skills. Pay is based on on knowledge and experience.

    Responsibilities

    Provide professional support for our customers’ networks and servers

    Assess security risks and ensure the security of networks and computer systems.

    Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software. Servers, computers, Firewalls, Switches, and network cabling

    Monitor and evaluate network performance and security

    Respond to support requests in a timely manner and resolve technical issues

    Develop and Maintain technology procedures and documentation

    Train users in best-use practices in technology, software, and equipment

    Senior personnel will lead and coach others, cross-training with other team members and look for opportunities for service growth at SDS

    Qualifications

    An associate, bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in I.T. Related field is preferred.

    Significant experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID (Microsoft Azure) and on-premise Microsoft Domain support.

    Solid understanding of server/security infrastructure and management

    Knowledge of backup software and methods, including cloud

    Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

    Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.

    Experience installing and maintaining network servers, personal computers, and related hardware.

    Ability to work well as part of a team

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Experience with VOIP phone systems is a plus

    Knowledge and understanding of EDR, XDR and MDR security

    VMware and/or Hyper-V experience preferred

    Entra ID (Microsoft Azure) and on-Premises Microsoft domain support experience preferred

    Experience supporting and installing Firewall Solutions

    Experience installing and maintaining Anti-Virus solutions

    Experience supporting Wireless environments is a plus

    Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people

    Ability to occasionally lift over 40 lbs.
