    SDV Construction is seeking a strong and diversified independent thinking Construction Superintendent that has a character that is rooted in honesty and integrity for a full time long term position that is willing to use their skills to support a comprehensive commercial contracting team to complete small to large projects for/with a company that is rich in benefits and deep in culture with an intense sense of family rooted in compassion for others.

    Position Requirements

    • Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
    • Attend and coordinate project kickoff meetings.
    • Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship.
    • Maintains construction schedule, “look ahead” schedules, and identifies and solves problems.
    • Schedules materials and inspections as necessary throughout the construction process.
    • Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
    • Prepares, schedules, and supervises completion of an SDV internal final punch list.
    • Ensures all company employees and contractors, and site visitors are adhering to the company safety policy.
    • Maintains a safe and organized job site.
    • Creates and maintains a daily log of all project related activities
    • Oversee the completion of the punch list correction.
    • Collaborate with project manager on monthly invoicing and cost to complete reports.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
    • Some knowledge in commercial security systems/integration is a plus.

    Required Qualifications / Skills:

    • Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications
    • Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.
    • Ability to perform simple math including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and take measurements.
    • Must display very strong organization and time management skills.
    • Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications and costs.
    • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
    • Must be able to read and comprehend technical and other written instructions.
    • _ MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A FEDERAL LEVEL DRUG SCREEN AND BACKGROUND CHECK IN ORDER TO MEET SITE SPECIFIC BADGING REQUIREMENTS!_
