Job Description

Workload for this internship opportunity includes the below:

• Vapor Phase Profiling Project
  • Under guidance and direction of manufacturing engineer, define the variables used for a new vapor phase machine.
  • Develop understanding of the how to profile SEAKR assemblies and general identify the general parameters that should be a starting point for profiling the majority of SEAKR hardware.
• Support general manufacturing engineering duties
  • Learn equipment, design tooling, organize tooling, understand traveler process, perform defect analysis

Qualifications

• Must be a rising Junior or higher currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline. Ability to learn technologies quickly and independently
• Strong computer skills in a PC environment using various business software programs (spreadsheets, word-processing, and databases)
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills
• Familiarity with Quality Control methods, configuration management methods and root cause analysis.
• Experience with assembly and test of spacecraft hardware and electronics is highly desirable, but not required.

Additional Information

• Compensation: Base pay range is $25-28/hour depending on qualifications.
