    Job Description

    Start Date: Tuesday, May 26th, 2020 End Date: Friday, August 7th, 2020

    The Recurring Product Internship position is responsible for:

    • Executing the engineering activities required to successfully produce, test and deliver spacecraft electronics to SEAKR customers.
    • Skills include the ability to read and understand digital and analog schematics; ability to review and clarify production travelers and test procedures; and the ability to test and troubleshoot complex electronics systems from the component level to the system functionality level.
    • The candidate should have the ability to read and edit software test scripts, analyze production metrics and lead efforts to increase production yield or clarify test flows
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills are necessary to be successful.
    • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to solve basic lab debug problems with the use of lab tools such as bench supplies, scopes and logic analyzers.
    • Familiarity with schematic tools, BOM or ERP management tools, work order and assembly traveler management tools, data analysis in spreadsheets, and extraction and documentation of test data from lab test equipment.
    • Experience with implementing engineering changes to schematics, BOMs and other documentation is a plus.
  • Qualifications

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Must be a rising Sophomore or higher currently pursuing a degree in, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline. Ability to learn technologies quickly and independently
    • Strong computer skills in a PC environment using various business software programs (spreadsheets, word-processing, and databases)
    • Highly organized and detail oriented
    • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills
    • Familiarity with Quality Control methods, configuration management methods and root cause analysis. 
    • Experience with assembly and test of spacecraft hardware and electronics is highly desirable, but not required.
    • Coursework toward BSEE, BSCE, or similiar.
