    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    Security Officers, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.

    Armed Security Officers will carry/maintain firearms in a professional, yet non-threatening manner. Armed security officers must have their own firearm, duty belt, Level 3 holster and Vest.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deter criminal activity and misconduct

    • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles

    • Patrol the interior of and exterior of the buildings to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions

    • Responds to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized persons by calling police, fire departments and/or local emergency response teams.

    • Ensures reports, records and other documentation is accurate and complete, and submitted in a timely manner.

    • Responds to unusual or emergency situations at client’s site using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established protocol.

    • Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.

    • Other job duties to be determined by the manager. .

    Qualifications:

    • Must be at least 21 years of age

    • High school degree or GED

    • Valid Security D License

    • Valid Security G License

    • Valid Fl. Driver's License

    • Valid CPR-AED Card

    • Basic computer skills

    • Professional demeanor and appearance

    • Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks

    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

    • Minimum of 3 year customer service experience required

    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years armed security experience required

    • Approved firearm, duty belt, Level 3 holster, and vest

    • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)

    • This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
