    The Cybersecurity industry is a growing industry and this position will allow someone (outside of Cybersecurity) that is highly skilled to get their foot in the door with a leading utility and into the hottest industry in the job market. We are looking for someone with a strong Microsoft Office skills, a business background that enables them to capture data into excel and power point slides, and strong people skills to be able to run meeting. A good example of this would be someone from the Big 4 consulting firms such as Deloitte, PWC, KPMG, E&Y with 4 years of experience looking to settle in California and not travel for work.

    TOP THREE THINGS:

    1. We will need to see top notch power point and excel skills.

    2. The candidate must have experience working with Managers and Directors. Excellent people skills and strong business acumen.

    3. Prefer candidates with consulting type backgrounds that can develop very solid and convincing business cases and slides that helps executives feel comfortable making informed business decisions.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to compile and analyze key metrics data to help leaders make informed business decisions. The analyst must have the ability to drive discussions with teams to develop strategies and assists with solving complex business problems. The successful candidate will work with multiple teams within the Cybersecurity Organization to develop metrics for strategic business initiatives and operations. They will lead smaller projects, determine scope, budget, timeframes, form teams, assign tasks, manage resources and issues. The person will research best practices; develop internal and external benchmarks in support of helping leadership with business decisions.  Additionally, they will have the ability to communicate and influence organizational change and gain organizational support. This role may require the analyst to perform quality assurance and business process improvement activities such as developing, managing, or coordinating performance or quality assessment, change management communications and training.

    SPECIFIC TYPES OF ANALYTICS AND REPORTING WILL INCLUDE performance dashboards, business analytics, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    •     Capture, analyze and present data to directors to aid in making business decisions.

    •     Gathers, evaluates, and analyzes external customer, industry, business information, and secondary research to identify solutions to business needs.

    •     Effectively plans and control work on a project; integrates all aspects, tracks and ensures that work progresses on schedule and that work meets specification or required standard.

    •     Develops communications needed to summarize analysis and to discuss recommendations for peers and executives.   

    •     Facilitates problems solving sessions and workshops with diverse set of business and technology team members.

    •     Develops and creates enterprise wide level presentations for senior leadership; provides recommendations with supporting analysis collecting, monitoring, and measuring business performance financial, and operations

    •     Proactively follows-up on issues and initiatives for senior leaders to ensure successful resolution and implementation

    •     Works closely with leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure that key initiatives and activities are delivered in a timely and coordinated manner and aligned with the goals of the organization.

    •     Manages the development, implementation and coordination of communication strategies and messaging for organizations and / or initiatives.

    •     Drives change in the organization and is a champion of company initiatives as appropriate.

    •     May act as a thought leader, applying extensive unique subject matter expertise in the development of strategy or resolution of complex issues.

    •     Build effective working relationships within and across other LOBs such as IT, Business Finance, and other work groups.

    •     Gather and document customer business requirements, and aid in development and testing of fixes and products.

    •     Act as a liaison between departmental end users and interacting with other departments to help resolve CAP (Corrective Action Plan) for department specific issues.

    •     Coordinate with multiple teams to finish monthly status report for the Security (cyber and physical security) organization

    •     Create FAQ’s, canned responses, and corporate communication to allow users to self-resolve issues; reduce incoming inquiries 

    •     Create and migrate reports to Power BI

    •     Manage benchmarking & metric efforts, coordinates support through IT departments

    •     Works with IT and functional leadership to establish a variety of key business, financial and performance metrics

    •     Create metrics and compile dashboards and reports; develop summary variance explanations and recommends remedial actions.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    •     Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

    •     Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, PowerPoint and expert level Excel skills

    •     5 to 8 years of related work experience

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    •     MBA or graduate degree

    •     Experience with project management tools like Gantt chart, JIRA to create and manage project plans

    •     Experience with Power BI a plus

Cybersecurity’s Vision is to provide enterprise security services across the business in a seamlessly integrated and readily understood manner leveraging automation and technologies to meet the needs of the company.

    The Cybersecurity Business Operations team is responsible for managing a portfolio of approx. $35M, manages Labor and Cybersecurity Software portfolios, originates all contracts in Security, directly interfaces with key security vendors for financial management, and provides monthly financial health reporting to the senior team.
