    Job title - Hardware Design Engineer

    Location - San Jose (onsite)

    Our client, a very well-known router and PC board manufacturing company is looking for Hardware Board Design Engineer.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BSEE or BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of related experience or MSEE with 6+ years of related experience
    • Experience with High-Speed Network Interfaces (10G/25G/100G/400G)
    • Must have experience with high-speed SERDES (>=25G) system design, signal integrity issues, and power distribution techniques
    • Experience with Network Switches and Routers
    • Demonstrated experience working with ODMs and overseas multi-functional teams.
    • Ability to interface with other cross-functional teams, including CAD, FPGA, Power, Mechanical, Signal integrity and Manufacturing teams.
    • Hands on board design knowledge, familiar with design tools including Cadence Concept, and Allegro
    • Experience with lab bring up and design validation.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Verilog
    • Perl Scripting
    • CAD Tools

    Job title - Lab Hardware Engineer (Lab Work)

    Location - San Jose (onsite)

    The position involves candidate working in Client's Lab, participation and contribution in all phases of hardware diagnostics development, from design inception through coding and delivery to manufacturing.

    Key Skills

    • Board design skill sets required
    • Working on schematic capture,
    • brought up board in the lab
    • signal capture tools
    • trouble shoot if a board is not working
    • use diagnostic software to bring up a board
    • anything else is a plus.
    • comfortable w/lab equipment
    • schematics - work with CAD team not necessarily design
    • 2- 5 years experience in the similar field is preferred
    • familiar to drawn diagnostics software on board and follow diagnose
    • basic trouble shooting
    • concert RCAD
    • some familiarity w/board

    We are not looking for expertise in ASIC - components (FPGA components from board design point of view, not RTL or coding. that's not required. Does not need to have networking background.
