As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by efficiently and safely operating a forklift to perform various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse/facility organization. Reporting to the Shipping & Warehouse Specialist, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving and organizing materials, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and around our facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to efficiently move materials and products within the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, stacking pallets, and transporting goods to designated areas
- Use forklifts or other equipment to transport materials, equipment, and products to and from storage and production areas (indoor and outdoor), ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of warehouse inventory by accurately recording incoming and outgoing shipments, conducting regular inventory counts, and maintaining proper storage and labeling of materials
- Perform routine inspections of the forklift and other warehouse equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition. Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following established traffic patterns, and practicing safe material handling techniques
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure the timely completion of tasks and fulfillment of customer orders. This may involve communicating effectively with warehouse management and other team members to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse environment by sweeping floors, removing debris, and organizing work areas
- Maintain a professional demeanor and effectively communicate with truck drivers during loading and unloading processes, ensuring a positive and efficient interaction that reflects positively on the company
Your Skillset
- Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to fulfill physical requirements, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and operating heavy machinery such as a forklift, in accordance with safety protocols
- Capacity to lift a maximum of 60 pounds and stand for an eight-hour work shift
- Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts; 24/7 operation may require adjusted/ on-call shifts
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and outdoor environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid forklift operator certification
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Adaptability to handle fast-paced environments and changing priorities
