LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Engineering and design of electrical systems including power generation, power systems performance and control, cabling and wiring, lighting, motor control centers, communication systems, cathodic protection, grounding, lightning protection, heat tracing, etc.
• Industrial electrical power distribution ranging from high voltage (greater than 35kV), medium voltage (1kV through 35kV) through low voltage (120V through 1kV)
• Electrical power distribution equipment such as generators, substations, switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, distribution panels
• Electrical utilization equipment such as motors (AC and DC), controllers, electrical process equipment
• Electrical drawing knowledge (reading and generation via Microstation V8):

• Single Line Diagrams
• Three Line Diagrams
• Schematic Diagrams
• Wiring Diagrams
• Physical Drawings

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems
• Must have a good understanding and knowledge of industry codes and standards (NFPA 70E/NEC, OSHA, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, API, and ASI.
• 5+ years of qualified related experience
• Experience in the chemical, refining, or biofuels industry preferred
• Experience with P&ID Development, equipment sizing, electrical calculations, and instrumentation. Demonstrated leadership of process design on capital projects, including responsibility for budget, schedule, and change management.
