Generalist/Accountant

We are a distributor of hematologic materials supporting Life Science companies in the manufacture of diagnostic controls. We are based in Pasadena California and have served the industry for over 40 years. We are looking for a talented individual looking “to wear several hats.” This individual must be comfortable in a small entrepreneurial environment while performing the duties as outlined.

Duties Include:

• Maintaining QuickBooks and all financial data
• Corresponding with suppliers, processing bills and payments
• Entering customer invoices, payments, and following up on open A/R
• Monitoring / Reconciling bank accounts
• Processing payroll time sheets
• Troubleshoot vendor issues and work with team to resolve issues
• Using Excel for basic upload/download spreadsheets with occasional basic formulas
• Place orders with suppliers and follow up on order status, shipments, etc.
• Special projects as needed
• Maintain filing system
• Assist Vendors &customers with inquiries regarding orders and open balances
• Provide excellent customer service via phone and emails

Skills and Qualifications Skills:

• Highly proficient in QuickBooks Desktop
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables & V-lookup helpful)
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot
• Strong verbal and organizational skills
• Experience with LTL carriers, FedEx, and UPS big plus!
• PC Savvy a plus!
• College degree preferred

This is a full-time position located in Pasadena.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
