SUMMARY: The Business Services Representative (BSR) establishes linkages with employers and local businesses, markets the Center services to employers to create job opportunities and job placements for Center participants. The BSR plays a pivotal role in connecting employers with job seekers and promoting the resources and services of our workforce programs. They are bridge between employers and job seekers, ensuring that the right candidates are matched with the right employment opportunities. Responsibilities will encompass outreach, employer engagement, job posting assistance, candidate recruitment, and exceeding performance goals set by the Business Services Manager or Project Director.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Proven experience in business development, employer relations, or sales, preferably in a workforce development or related context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with employment services, workforce programs, and the local job market.
- Proficiency in data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to exceeding goals and expectations
- Be a results-driven individual with a passion for connecting employers with qualified candidates and contributing to workforce development initiatives
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) beneficial; but not required
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Alternative requirements are a minimum of 60 hours from an accredited college or University and 3 years of relevant experience or graduation from high School/GED and 5 years relevant experience
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess and provide a valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Liability Insurance as required by the State of Texas.
- Must have access to reliable transportation in order to make required site visits or trainings

- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of the job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; for long periods of time. Employee must be able to drive for extended periods of time. Employees must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, must be able to set up display area.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT : Fast paced, demanding physically and mentally, will be in constant communications.
