    If so and meet the requirements listed below, apply to our ad. We are an organization that has doubled in size and is growing rapidly. This rapid growth has now evolved us into the path of adding an Accounting Manager to our team. This position is based in our Norwalk, CT location.

    The role of the Accounting Manager is manage and oversee the Accounting staff which includes an Accountant, Accounts Payable Coordinator and Accounts Receivable Coordinator. The ideal candidate will process weekly payroll. coordinate duties related to measuring and reporting financial performance of the company, budget development and implementation and inventory management.

    .Accounting Manager Job Responsibilities:

    Develops financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, and preparing financial strategic plans.

    Accomplishes finance strategies by determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing financial values, financial policies, and procedures; implementing and planning and reviewing compensation strategies.

    Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.

    Oversight of month end fiscal year end reconciliation processes

    Oversight of chart of accounts and assigning codes in accordance with internal and external reporting requirements

    Review and post journal entries and reconciliations prepared by staff

    Calculating and posting month end adjusting entries

    Ensure accurate coding of invoices including allocations

    Processes weekly payroll using Paychex software system

    Responsible for planning and executing annual audit and tax returns

    Oversight of subcontractor management

    Oversight of general ledger

    With franchise management on job costing, facilitating data inputs, assure quality and provide assistance

    Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; and implementing change.

    Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion.

    Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital and facilities requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing financial action plans.

    Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

    Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community.

    Reports financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.

    Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

    Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

    MBA or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.

    Master’s degree preferred.

    5 years of QuickBooks Online experience

    2 years of Paychex Payroll processing experience

    Certified Public Accountant certification a plus.

    Minimum 10 years’ experience in accounting and financial management practices.

    Intermediate experience using Microsoft Systems and .

    Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets.

    Solid financial reporting technical skills.
