  • Responsibilities

    Position Summary

    The Warehouse / Mechanic Technician is responsible for maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the warehouse, vehicles, and equipment. This role ensures all SERVPRO assets are properly maintained, repaired, and ready to support production teams in delivering high-quality restoration services.

    Key Responsibilities

    Warehouse Operations

    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

    Manage inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies

    Load and unload vehicles and trailers as needed

    Ensure proper storage and tracking of materials and assets

    Conduct regular inventory counts and report shortages

    Fleet & Equipment Maintenance

    Perform routine maintenance on SERVPRO vehicles (oil changes, tire rotations, inspections)

    Diagnose and complete minor mechanical repairs on trucks, vans, and trailers

    Maintain and repair restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, extractors, generators)

    Coordinate major repairs with outside vendors when necessary

    Keep maintenance logs and service records up to date

    Safety & Compliance

    Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards

    Follow OSHA guidelines and SERVPRO safety protocols

    Assist in maintaining SDS logs and proper chemical storage

    Identify and report safety hazards

    Support to Production Team

    Prepare equipment and materials for daily jobs

    Assist crews with loading/unloading before and after jobs

    Ensure vehicles are stocked and job-ready

    Respond to urgent equipment needs in the field when required

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    1–3 years of mechanical, warehouse, or fleet maintenance experience preferred

    Basic knowledge of small engines, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance

    Forklift experience (preferred or willingness to obtain certification)

    Valid driver’s license (clean driving record preferred)

    Skills & Abilities

    Strong mechanical aptitude

    Organized and detail-oriented

    Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve quickly

    Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor

    Good communication and teamwork skills

    Work Environment

    Combination of warehouse and outdoor work

    Exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying weather conditions

    On-call or extended hours may be required during emergency response situations
