    Job Description: The Sales position will not be a "sit behind the desk job". It will be a position of going out into the community and create new and strengthen existing relationships with potential commercial clients, property managers and owners. Promote and sell Franchise services in an assigned territory, which results in meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals. Grow and develop our customer base by utilizing a systematic process to identify new prospects and cultivate relationships by routinely contacting, visiting, and following up with customers. Use marketing materials provided by SERVPRO® including the Emergency Ready Plan and other items to differentiate between SERVPRO® services and the competition. Use this differentiation to convince clients to use SERVPRO® services in the future.

    Responsibilities:

    Become extremely familiar with the services that SERVPRO can offer potential clients, so they are comfortable with using SERVPRO when needed

    Be in the field contacting potential customers with Loss potential

    Meet or exceed assigned sales quota by executing the sales cycle, setting up closing appointments and maintaining assigned contact lists

    Participating in professional associations, hosting lunch-and-learns, and promoting continuing education (CE) courses

    Complete Emergency Ready Profiles (ERPs) and discuss benefits of emergency event preparation

    Conduct objective-to-objective daily marketing contacts

    Build customer relationships and rapport by educating them on the reasons SERVPRO® is the best cleaning and restoration company in the world

    Compile and maintain a center of influence (COI) information data base and identify “Target 25” (Top 25 contacts to develop into clients)

    Provide and communicate clear and accurate pretesting, scoping of services, and job estimates

    Monitor and follow up on all assigned jobs, ensuring customer needs have been met.

    Provide owners and marketing managers with one-on-one meetings (closing appointments) with COIs to encourage SERVPRO® referrals

    Increase sales territory revenue by consistently achieving sales territory goals

    Qualifications:

    2+ years, door-to-door, face-to-face sales, marketing, or customer service experience, (not tele-marketing or behind the desk marketing) with demonstrated history of sales ability and growth

    Experience with sales and marketing within the service sector

    Successfully complete a background check subject to applicable laws

    Have a valid state driver’s license with a clean record for the past 3 years

    Be able to pass a supervised drug test

    Effective oral and written communication

    Superb sales, customer service, administrative, verbal, and written communication skills

    Strong business and financial background and process-and-results-driven attitude

    Working knowledge of current business software technologies is required

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)

    Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience

    Ability to meet people in new or difficult situations and build rapport

    Experience with professional sales or marketing associations, a plus
