Inventory and Asset Manager - Job Description
Responsible for the management and implementation of SERVPRO Team Meyer policies and processes to control and maintain physical assets, including property, vehicles, equipment, and supplies. This position will report to the VP of Finance out of the Iowa City location.
Primary Roles/Responsibilities
· Design and implement systems that facility asset management
· Develop (and utilize existing) methodologies for tracking asset lifecycle, inventory, location, cost, and return on investment
· Oversees the planning for asset acquisition, replacement, and disposal
· Leads cross-functional coordination activities to develop and maintain accurate databases used for reporting
· Assist and Coordinate fleet repairs, maintenance, relocation, and management as needed, alongside Enterprise Fleet Management specialist
· Assist General Managers and work alongside Operations Managers to manage local assets and reallocate according to geographical needs
· Work with Accounting department to analyze various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving most cost-effective deals
· Work alongside the Accounting Department to develop and follow Purchase Order methods and budget
Necessary Experience/Skill Set
· Effective written and oral communication
· Ability to use an iPad, laptop, and various technology
· Basic math skills
· Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
· Ability to work with/around cleaning products and large equipment
· Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
· Ability to remain calm and professional during tense or stressful situations
· Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
· Ability to multi-task
· Capability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)
· Ability to successfully pass a background check
Formal Education/Training
· Minimum of HSD/GED preferred
Previous management experience preferred
