    Summary:

    The Commercial & Storm Assistant Restoration Manager prescribes, coordinates, controls, and performs work activities on restoration projects to successfully fulfill service needs and facilitate a positive customer experience. By providing quality, consistent, efficient work, and process education the Assistant Restoration Manager represents the best in the cleanup and restoration industry while traveling to affected areas impacted by weather related events. These events include, but are not limited to: Micro-bursts, named weather events such as hurricanes, tornados, wildfires, deep freeze events, etc., to assist other SERVPRO franchises in helping those affected in the areas of need. This is a traveling position during storm events, giving you the opportunity to help those in need, all while making an above average income. While not traveling, the Commercial & Storm Assistant Restoration Manager will be assisting in losses in our home territory of West Central PA.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    · Ability to travel at a moment’s notice. Urgent response is key!

    · Communicate clear expectations to supervisors and technicians and supervise their activities.

    · Coordinate and perform production processes as scheduled and ensure quality control.

    · Identify safety hazards, communicate, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers.

    · Always follow and oversee safe work practices and adherence to safety and risk management guidelines.

    · Document a detailed and accurate job file to support the services provided.

    · Manage and control labor and consumable usage on assigned projects.

    · Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly.

    Secondary Responsibilities:

    · Coach and train Restoration Supervisors and Restoration Technicians as well as temporary labor.

    · Communicate with the Commercial & Storm Restoration Manager and office staff on project progress and issues.

    · Communicate with building owners and adjusters to keep everyone up to date with project status daily.

    · Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle maintenance and equipment maintenance, as assigned.

    · Oversee Mobile Command Center/Large Loss trailer(s) for inventory and ordering replenishments.

    · Continued development of production expertise in customer care, services, cleaning products, and equipment.

    · Other tasks/duties as required by employer.

    Necessary Experience and Skill Set:

    · Ability to travel.

    · The desire to help those in need.

    · Strong work ethic.

    · Strong oral communication skills.

    · Minimum 1 year of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction.

    · Strong supervisory skills.

    · Strong communication skills, oral and written.

    · DOT health card. Certification will be provided.

    · CDL a plus.

    Formal Education/Training:

    · High school diploma/GED.

    · IICRC certifications preferred, but certification training will be provided for the right candidates.

    Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

    · Driving for the regulatory DOT timeline to gain access to affected areas. Regularly lifting 50 pounds independently, occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance, walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing ladders, working at various ceiling heights, working in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces, attics), repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects, working with and around chemicals, and working overhead.

    · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions such as heat, noxious odors, etc. The noise level in the work environment and jobsites may be loud. The employee will be required to occasionally wear a respirator for their safety. PPE provided.

    Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours and Travel Requirements:

    · This is a full-time position traveling 75% of the year or more. This position frequently requires long hours (beyond 8 hours a day), including some evening and weekend work. Travel is required and is sometimes local. However, out-of-area and overnight travel should be expected.
