Mitigation Crew Lead

The Mitigation Crew Lead works with the Project Managers to coordinate, control, and perform work activities on water damage, fire damage, mold remediation projects to successfully fulfill service needs and facilitate a positive customer experience. As the front-line representative of the SERVPRO® brand, the Mitigation Crew Lead works directly with customers and clients at their homes or businesses throughout a mitigation project. As a valued SERVPRO® franchise employee, you will receive a competitive pay rate, with the opportunity to learn and grow. Primary Responsibilities 

Complete the initial job inspection for water mitigation projects.

Monitoring equipment and drying progress for water mitigation projects

Complete thorough & accurate job documentation including notes, photos, DocuSketch, atmospheric readings & moisture content readings.

Oversee crew members at various stages of the job process on the jobsite to ensure completion of tasks to SERPVRO & IICRC Industry Standards.

Assist crew members as needed with execution of daily job tasks onsite.

Facilitate a positive customer experience and ensure customer satisfaction of services.  

Communicate clear expectations to production technicians and supervise their activities.   

Coordinate and perform production processes as scheduled and ensure quality control.   

Identify safety hazards, communicate, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers. Follow and oversee safe work practices and adherence to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.  

Document a detailed and accurate job file to support the services provided.  

Document labor and consumable usage on assigned projects.

Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly.   

Position Requirements 

Effective written and oral communication 

Basic math skills

Experience in cleaning/mitigation/restoration preferred, but not required.

High school diploma/GED 

IICRC certifications preferred, but not required.

Xactimate Mobile experience preferred, but not required.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. 

Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics) 

Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time. 

Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects. 

Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals. 

Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary. 

  Work Hours

Work Hours are 8:00 AM – 5 PM with occasional overtime required.

Full Time Position – Scheduled workdays variable Monday-Sunday.

Additional time may be required in order due to emergency services or storm/catastrophe situations.  

On call hours required

On call work would include initial inspection of jobsites for necessary water or fire damage mitigation work along with on call crew.

Projects may include but are not limited to, Residential, Commercial, Large Loss or Storm Work 

Pay Rate 

$25-$27 per hour based on experience

With the possibility of overtime pay and increases based on merit, training & certifications.
