Summary of Role
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for executing the SERVPRO Construction Project Management Process end to end. Key result areas include drafting contracts and payment schedules, preparing accurate estimates, managing subcontractors, collecting and logging payments, and above all ensuring a positive customer experience through the construction process.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Initiation
Research new leads from assigned emergency services project manager
Coordinate with ESPM to conduct initial job walkthrough
Obtain security deposit from customer to initiate work
Project Planning
Identify and document scope of work
Prepare estimates based on documented scope of work
Prepare and deliver work orders and budgets to subcontractors
Schedule walkthroughs and work start dates with subcontractors
Work with insurance adjuster to ensure reasonable compliance with insurance claim payout
Project Execution
Perform regular walkthroughs to ensure the following:
Customer needs are met
Quality standards are met
All work performed is in keeping with industry performance standards
Schedule subcontractors
Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work.
Document all project activities in the job book.
Estimate and execute change orders.
Provide weekly written update to adjuster and project coordinator
Coordinate inspections with local authorities as necessary
Project Closeout
Compile punch lists of outstanding items and deliver to subcontractors
Obtain signed COS and COC
Collect and log all draw payments
Subcontractor Management
Research and recruit new subcontractors
Assist DFO and owner in vetting and onboarding new subcontractors
Set expectations on a project-by-project basis.
Maintain quality standards through site inspections.
Ensure subcontractors complete all work in accordance with their work orders and budget
Provide evaluation and rating of all vendors and subcontractors.
Financial Management
Adhere to established budget controls as determined by the franchise
Ensure accurate accounting of project-related payable invoices and receivable invoices
Position Requirements

Math skills (basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and geometry)
Experience in residential construction or remodeling
Experience in construction project management preferred
Experience in homeowner’s insurance claim resolution
Basic math skills
High school diploma/GED
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawlspaces, attics)
Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary
Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
Compensation:
SERVPRO offers Construction Project Managers a starting pay of $58,500/yr with access to a company vehicle.
High performing CPMs will be eligible for volume-based bonuses.
After 90 days, a medical, dental, and vision benefits package will be made available to the employee.
