SERVPRO of Sorrento Valley/University City is looking for a Construction Project Manager!
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of construction projects. They are responsible for delivering a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, subcontractors, resource providers, and company employees involved in performing construction services.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
a. Coordinate subcontractors for the scope of work and obtain their bids.
b. Communicate with customer to arrive at material selection and sign-off.
c. Create the project schedule and communicate to Client and Construction Coordinator.
d. Conduct pre-construction meeting with customers.
e. Identify areas outside of contracted scope of work.
f. Ensure all work performed complies with the plans, specifications, local codes, and requirements of the scope of work. Obtain permits as needed.
a. Schedule all subcontractors and material suppliers.
b. Introduce crews to customer and walk them through the project.
c. Ensure the project is staying on budget.
d. Check in with the customer to ensure quality.
e. Update Job File Coordinator with any information necessary to create Work Orders.
f. Collect progress payments as scheduled.
a. Compile and resolve punch list items.
b. Perform final walk-through with customer.
c. Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions as needed.
d. Secure a signed Completion of Completion and Certificate of Satisfaction from customer.
e. Submit final scope to Accounting Department for invoicing.
a. Be familiar with and able to execute all roles and responsibilities of the Construction Coordinator.
b. Consistently add to and develop the base of subcontractors that you coordinate.
Necessary Experience and Skill Set
Superb customer service track record
Effective written and oral communication
Basic math skills
Experience in restoration and/or construction required
Formal Education/Training
High school diploma/GED
Xactimate Experience Preferred
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Walking and/or standing throughout the day. Frequent driving and sitting. Occasionally climbing ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat. The noise level in the work environment and jobsites can be loud.
Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements
This is a full-time position, working 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, 40+ hours per week. This position frequently requires long hours (beyond 8 hours a day). Travel is required and is primarily local. However, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Salary This position is salaried and comes with a base pay of $80K-$90K with performance bonuses available.
