Job Description:
As a Transportation Specialist, you will assist with moving, packing, wrapping, inventory and transport of household goods in a professional manner. You are able to work collaboratively within an assigned team to deliver a positive and successful relocation and ensures a positive customer experience. You will be working with skilled construction tradesmen, including trades such as electricians, carpenters, plumbers, painters, drywall installers, flooring installers, general contractors, and remodelers.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the pick-up (loading), transportation, and delivery (unloading and placement) of household goods/equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures
Pack, unpack and wrap/unwrap household goods items per customer specifications
Ensure no items are damaged while transporting
Handle customer requests
Work with other team members to ensure satisfaction and contact compliance
Responsible for proper use of all company equipment, packing materials, and proper treatment of company vehicles while in transit, at a customer site, return to facility or while visiting other facilities for delivery, pickup, etc
Display professional conduct, courtesy and manners when entering and performing work in the customer’s home. Remain respectful of their property and professional spaces.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated history, with references, of moving and contents handling expertise
Proper loading/packing and contents protection experience is a must
Excellent customer service skills and the professional, careful handling of our customer’s furniture
Willingness and ability to complete a driving record and background check
Must be able to handle physical demands of routinely lifting and moving heavy items by hand or with the assistance of material handling equipment (hand truck or dolly)
Must be capable of lifting 50+ pounds
