We are seeking someone who is comfortable meeting new people, has excellent communication skills, and is a serious multi-tasker. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in an event planning career!

We are very active in the community and with many associations. We are looking for someone to assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of events we sponsor such as golf outings, catered events, and trade shows. This is a part-time position. The events schedule will dictate the required hours but will be between ten to twenty hours a week.

Primary Responsibilities

Finalizing event plans

Purchasing event/food materials

Attending events such as catering, golf outings, and regular vendor tables (no sales This may be during business hours, nights, and weekends. Typically we have at least 2 weeks notice but some things may arise last minute

Picking up and dropping off resources at other locations

Inventory tracking

Supplies organization and cleanup

Position Skill Sets

Strong communication skills in person and online

Working knowledge of current business software technologies (Google Docs, Calendar, and Email)

Ability to remain calm and professional during high emotion situations

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Able to prioritize tasks and balance multiple priorities at once

Team player attitude, we are a small marketing team and while we all have our individual roles we sometimes step in for each other to support sales and growth of the company

Professional appearance

Organizational skills and attention to detail/changing schedules

Position Requirements

Valid drivers license

Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law

Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time

Ability to travel locally

Ability to drive a variety of different vehicles

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds individually and up to 100lbs co-lifting some examples include, but are not limited to large tents, cases of water, chair and table racks

A flexible schedule is essential as the workload includes deadlines that must be met. There may be occasions when work is required on a per diem basis. Apart from specific event dates, you have the freedom to design your own schedule.

Pay Rate

Starts at $16-18/hour based on experience, with possible overtime pay and increases based on merit.
