Real Estate Loan Processor / Bookkeeper This is NOT a remote opportunity. The perfect candidate will be detailed, multi-tasker, ability to work independently, pleasant in person and on the phone, possess a can-do attitude, and have the desire to grow with the company. Primary Duties include, but are not limited to: Bookkeeping -Maintain the books for the lending companies and provide reports for parent company personnel - Monthly bank reconciliation (multiple accounts) - Prepare, 1099 and 1098 interest statements - Bank deposits (desktop system) - Accounts payable/receivable - Communicate with colleague on rent collection / defaults for foreclosed properties - Maintain rent roll - General office duties - Work with outside CPA during tax season on company returns - Maintain files (both physical and electronically) Real Estate Loan Processor / REO coordination - Set-up new client / loan files - Coordinate funding - Record the loan in QuickBooks - Receive and post loan/interest payments - Pull property tax/utility records - Help Prepare construction draws for approval/disburse funds - Coordinate with construction inspector for draw approval - Help coordinate foreclosures with foreclosing attorneys - Help coordinate and track tax appeals for foreclosed properties Requirements: Excel (Microsoft Office Suite), MUST HAVE QuickBooks, excellent time management skills, strong multi-tasking ability , high math aptitude, familiarity with typical office machines (phone, fax, copier, scanner), accounting background, familiarity with real estate, excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic knowledge of loan processing and closing procedures (we will train on this process), ability to work with stringent timelines.
