You are a “hands on” operator, having learned your trade by actually building products, not reading tweets about it. Your Mandate

You will build products & operational processes that help our teams win. To do this, you'll need to understand in detail not just what the team needs, but what it needs to be. Using this knowledge and your experience, you'll rapidly build and iterate on the tools that will enable outsized performance of one of the largest SFR portfolios in the country - supporting the cyclical operation that can buy and build more affordable housing than anyone else.  

What You'll Do

By embedding within the Properties team, and deeply understanding their mission & KPIs, you'll act as the primary product counterpart to the business owner. Your goal is to help them continually encode their business into the machine, giving them maximum operating & performance leverage via anything in our toolkit: from low-code hacks that can be up and running in hours, to fully custom, in-house software, adaptable integrations with 3rd-parties or 3rd-party software, and everything in between. These solutions will cover a range critical business activities, including:

• Leasing Operations: Supporting our leasing funnel from identifying and qualifying leads to the day a new tenant moves in
• Turns: Quickly and cost-effectively assessing and executing just the right scope of work to get the house back on the market as quickly as possible after tenant move-out
• Repairs & Maintenance: Quickly tackling issues when something goes wrong, keeping the tenant happy (and in their home!)
• Business Intelligence: Building any specific tools or adaptations (from general BI platforms) does the Properties team need in order to be successful

• Experience using data to make your case. “Without data, you're just another person with an opinion.”
• Any technical degree. Fluffy degrees require subsequent proof of real-world competence.
