The program prioritizes households who have been in shelter the longest, offering up to three years of rental assistance and ongoing support to tenants and landlords to ensure housing stability.

    The Role

    Anthos|Home is seeking a passionate and experienced SHARE Financial Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the SHARE Supervisor, the SHARE Financial Specialist performs high-quality financial review, housing assistance package processing, subsidy administration, and landlord payment support within the SHARE program.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review housing assistance packages submitted by the Department of Homeless Services (DHS) to determine eligibility in compliance with program regulations and fiscal policies, coordinating timely corrections as needed.
    • Collect and analyze eligibility and income documentation to support accurate determinations and enroll qualified households into the SHARE program.
    • Calculate and authorize housing subsidy payments, including broker fees, landlord payments, furniture allowances, security vouchers, and utility credits.
    • Create, review, and submit invoices, ensuring accurate financial coding, proper documentation, and timely processing in accordance with established fiscal procedures.
    • Reconcile financial accounts by reviewing retroactive payments, utility adjustments, overpayments, and outstanding balances to maintain accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
    • Maintain complete, audit-ready financial records for each household, including data entry, annual recertifications, program modifications, and documentation of rental assistance adjustments and terminations.
    • Provide financial guidance and customer service to households and landlords, issuing application, approval, warning, and termination notices and resolving payment inquiries and discrepancies.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • 2–3 years of experience in housing finance, rental subsidy administration, human services, or a related field.
    • Experience conducting eligibility determinations, including income verification and application of housing subsidy regulations and payment standards.
    • Knowledge of rental voucher processes, including income certification, rent calculations, lease-up processing, and tenant stabilization.
    • Ability to prepare and process invoices with accurate financial coding while maintaining compliance with fiscal controls and deadlines.
    • Experience maintaining audit-ready records, completing recertifications, reconciling payments and adjustments, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
    • Commitment to serving diverse and vulnerable populations with professionalism and integrity.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary: $65,000-70,000, based on experience.
    • Work Environment: Hybrid model (3–5 days per week in office or field).
