    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

    The Commercial Loan Administrator (the “CLA”) will assist in the development and administration of an industry-leading Cannabis Commercial Lending Program and Department, including the development of underwriting, closing, and loan administration processes and supporting these and other service lines. Ensure maximum profitability of lending activities that are in the best interest of the client and Safe Harbor Financial. The Commercial Loan Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and client service support to the VP of Lending, Executive Vice President, and other lending team members as designated in support of their respective roles and responsibilities. Additional responsibilities may extend across business areas, such as participating on cross-functional committees or planning Regional internal and client events. The CLA will also perform other tasks/projects as requested, and provide assistance as needed to other teams, facilitating collaboration and communication between the lending department and other business units.

    ** QUALIFICATIONS:**

    • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference for a degree or other advanced certification in business, finance, or banking, or comparable professional experience.

    • Ability to self-train in this new industry and apply knowledge to daily role.

    • Ability to strictly follow and comply with regulatory guidelines and rules surrounding financial services and the cannabis industry.

    • Prior relevant work experience in credit origination, closing, and administration – experience with a commercial bank or non-bank lender is preferred.

    • Must be proficient with computer systems and comfortable using technology such as Microsoft Office and Teams

    • Strong communication and organizational skills.

    • Proficient in multi-tasking in a team-oriented environment focused on the highest standards of client service.

    • Professional in manner and appearance.

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Position requires a broad level of professional experience in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in commercial lending support; knowledge of commercial loan documentation and lending principles.
    • Ability to utilize standard PC-based software to prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
    • Strong communication skills needed to effectively work with diverse groups of internal/external clients to explain products and interpret policy.
    • The highest level of problem-solving skills is required; situations require operational knowledge of the work and the unit, which may involve a range of possible solutions to problems.
    • Work is under minimal supervision, where the work requires independent judgment in the interpretation of existing policies and procedures and the selection of alternative procedures and work routines. Alternatives may be limited or not well defined.
