SHINE Systems is hiring a System administrator / Database Administrator to work in support of an Intelligence Community program. The admin will join a small team supporting web database development, testing, and modernization with heavy scripting and a back-end focus.

Seeking a Database Administrator for maintaining the established database, performing maintenance, and configuration management as needed. The sponsor maintains a database that aggregates financial data from multiple sources. The database translates transactional data into reports, which is sent to multiple stakeholders at a leadership level.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities Include:

• Install, configure, upgrade and migrate (Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/)
• Oracle Enterprise database version 11g, 12c, 19c or above
• Administer and troubleshoot databases including security patching, SQL tuning, capacity planning, and schema design.
• Perform daily monitoring of database environment and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Implement, maintain, and monitor primary and standby databases.

Requirements & Desired:

• BA/BS with 10 years' experience
• Current TS/SCI security clearance
• Current CI polygraph or ability to obtain CI polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
• Must have 8570 (security +) or equivalent certifications to be IAT II compliant.
• Must have at least two years' experience with Linux Red hat (CentOS6 and CentOS7) systems.
• Some experience with Unix shell scripting
• Junior to intermediate level DBA experience
• Must have experience with database RMAN backups and restores.
• Must have experience with database imports and exports.
