    Trex Company, the world’s number one decking and railing brand, and leader in high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor living products, is seeking a Parts Room Lead to perform supervisory, technical, and administrative duties for parts room operations. 

     

    Help us deliver what’s next in outdoor living by coordinating daily with internal customers such as maintenance and production.

     

    As our next Parts Room Lead, you are comfortable supervising all storeroom employees and assisting  

    In hiring, training, evaluating and disciplining all direct reports while planning, organizing and implementing inventory control operations and procedures for the maintenance supplies using internal ERP systems.

    Required Skills

    • Evaluate, qualify, and build relationships with Maintenance / Production vendors
    • Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all critical parts list items are in stock and consumed appropriately
    • Remains current on new and obsolete materials. Maintains adequate levels of inventory stock
    • Develop, implement, and supervise receiving record audits
    • Review purchase order requests and compares expenditures with budget appropriation
    • Research vendor, pricing, and manufacturers for maintenance parts; suggests proper inventory levels and sets pricing with vendors
    • Coordinate and align plans and resources with Corporate Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing Manager
    • Maintain point of use day bins
    • Coordinate planning and execution of cycle counts
    • Monitor and maintain access protocols to parts room
    • Manage project and overhaul kitting.
    • Generating reports on usage, outstanding requisitions, etc.

     

    SUPERVISES:  Two Maintenance Administrative Assistants

    Required Experience

    • BS/BA in Logistics or related field preferred, or a minimum of 3 years equivalent experience in logistics.

    • Experience in purchasing, raw material, and knowledge of wood species.

    • Ability to learn and lead in an ambiguous environment.

    • Membership/affiliation with the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).

    • Technical Knowledge, Effective Communications, Concern for Accuracy, Concern for Effectiveness, Forward Thinking, Ability to see “The Big Picture”, Flexibility, Team Player, Setting High Standards, Positive Attitude.

    • Broad knowledge and experience in J.D. Edwards and/or equivalent enterprise/materials resource planning and/or asset management program and MS Office Excel.

    • Demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office programs that include (but are not limited to): Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio.
