    JOB SUMMARY

    The Manager of Airport Operations is responsible for assisting the Director of Airport Operations and the Regional Directors in providing outstanding operational performance through effective cross functional leadership. Assist in ensuring front line visibility to station and corporate goals.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Manage performance metrics for Monthly Airport Passenger Counts and reports
    • Work closely with Director of Airport Operations and Regional Directors to ensure customer expectations are being met
    • Participate in the Station Auditing and Internal Evaluation Process (IEP) to ensure compliance and continuous improvement efforts
    • Investigate and assist Customer feedback specific to airports and field service staff members
    • Collaborate with Senior Management to provide strategic and operational planning input. Report progress and results to Senior Management on a regular basis
    • Assist the Training Department during curriculum development and delivery to ensure quality control within the Ground Operations Organization
    • Assist station group in new location, and seasonal openings/closings
    • Support the Director of Airport Operations in the execution and implementation of Sun Country Airlines initiatives
    • Represent Sun Country Airlines at meetings as assigned by the Director of Airport Operations
    • Conducts all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines
    • Conduct Safety Risk Assessments when new or amended Ground Operation policies or procedures are introduced
    • Identify resources and qualify productivity results for department projects
    • Any other duties assigned by management

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • Previous experience in Operations Training
    • Knowledge of Airport/Ground Operations
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Proven history of organizational, communication, and coaching skills
    • Ability to provide ongoing feedback to all levels of the Operation
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects as assigned
    • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others and represent the Ground Ops organization building positive relations across departments

     

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Previous Airline experience

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones photocopiers, filing cabinets.
