Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled SI/PI Engineer to ensure optimal signal and power integrity in high-speed digital systems. This role involves simulation, modeling, and validation of PCB and package designs to support reliable performance across a range of products, including memory modules, SSDs, and semiconductor devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PCB level signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) simulations for high-speed interfaces and interconnects (e.g., DDRx, LPDDRx, CXL, NAND flash).
- Analyze and optimize power delivery networks (PDN) for low noise and stable operation.
- Develop and maintain SI/PI models and databooks for packages and boards.
- Collaborate with layout, silicon, and system design teams to resolve SI/PI issues.
- Conduct pre- and post-layout simulations using tools like Cadence Sigrity, Siemens HyperLynx, Ansys HFSS, and HSpice.
- Support lab validation using oscilloscopes, TDRs, VNAs, and other test equipment.
- Document design guidelines and best practices for SI/PI performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and five years' experience in design and simulation of electronic systems.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, transmission lines, and PDN design.
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., Siemens HyperLynx, Cadence Sigrity, ADS, HFSS, HSpice).
- Experience with PCB design tools (Cadence Orcad schematic capture and Allegro layout)
- Familiarity with PCB stack-up design and layout constraints for high-speed signals.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment for SI/PI validation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of memory technologies, such as DDR4/DDR5 and LPDDR4/5, and memory module design is highly desirable
- Knowledge of package design and modeling.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Perl) for automation.
- Experience in electronics or semiconductor industries.
